In the Room
The staff were extremely helpful. Location was ideally situated. The pool with ocean view was nice. Rooms were clean and suited our needs. Loved the deck overlooking the ocean, that was a nice bonus. The actual hotel is in need of a bit of repair as it seems to be aging however, the location, staff and overall experience were great. We're definitely returning and will recommend to friends.
The hotel itself is aging and needs to be updated but overall experience was excellent due to the staff, location and amenities.
The view was excellent - we were 10 metres from the bay of Fundy. Beautiful sunsets! Some staff were very helpful in suggesting best places to eat, whale watch, etc,. All tips were right on the button! The room had decent amenities like a microwave and a bar fridge, although the television was quite old.... (Who cares about tv when you have a sunset to watch on the blacony!
The bathroom was very small and cramped. The pool facility was somewhat rundownin the pool area (loose tiles and older construction. The parking was insufficient when there is no vacancy and you have to park on the road.
Wonderful location, right in the center of a beautiful little tourist town. Right on the seaside. We were upgraded to a king suite from a queen suite when we arrived. Spectacular view from the ocean side 3rd floor room. Room has been updated and is modern and comfortable. Friendly staff.
A/C was not up to the task of cooling the room on a hot July day and night. Continental breakfast was a tray of doughnuts and coffee. Bathroom is small.
Location in town
Price higher than comparable hotels elsewhere. No hairdryer. Feel the claim of "complimentary breakfast" is greatly exaggerated and misleading. When in St Andrews we stay at your facility because of the convenience of location, but we are not very happy with it - it does not rate three stars, but there is little choice in town.
Saint Andrews N.B. has always been a favourite spot to visit for our family. Over the years we took our four children camping. When we parents wanted ...a break....we would head to Saint Andrews. The place is just soo relaxing yet full of energy in the Summertime.
Loved the Hotel, but would have appreciated it having a dining area.
I liked the location. We were able to sit on the balcony and watch the sun set. We were able to walk to dinner. It was a nice place and a good rate for a short stop-over. The room was clean and comfortable.
The shower needed some work. The floor got soaked no matter what we tried. Might invest in better shower curtains with magnets on the bottom. Balcony was very web infested. Big spiders.
The hotel was musty and dirty. Anyone with allergies should avoid the property.
There was a balcony where we were able to watch the tide come in and it was really beautiful.
Very dated. Rather expensive for the facilities.
Cleaning staff were efficient and courteous. The location on the water was the reason for the booking.
Desk staff were not very friendly and the room was pretty shabby. My sheets were almost transparent they were worn so thin and the door locks were flimsy/nonoperational. There was no elevator, I use a cane, and had to climb stairs every time I left/returned. This hotel is not accessible for those with disabilities. Despite literally watching me labour to climb the stairs, sometimes with suitcases, desk staff offered no assistance whatsoever. No one helped with my bags or offered a room on the ground level. Despite having a non-smoking room, my room was regularly infiltrated by smoke from rooms/balconies adjacent/below. The hotel advertises "free continental breakfast" with your stay which consisted of a plain donut and terrible coffee. When I was checking out, the hotel billed us more than was agreed via Booked.net and I had to correct them. They grudgingly changed the bill, did not apologize, thank us, or say anything at all. It was a silent departure. I would never stay here again and recommend you look elsewhere. There are other nicer places to stay at cheaper rates in St. Andrews.
I enjoyed the view and location
The continental breakfast could use some improving. The bathroom could use some safety features such as tub grips or non slip mat in the tub.
The ocean view, the pool, the spacious room
The lack of continental breakfast included in the rate. There were only tea, coffee and some doughnu, all arranged in the lobby
The View from our room overlooking the water was amazing. Also the room was huge !
Would have loved to make my own coffee in my room :(
We definitely liked the location and view of the water from our room/balcony. The beds were super comfortable and the sitting area off to the side was a bonus.
I don't like the room set up whereby as you open the door, the sink is right there. I would rather have a room where all the bathroom components (sink/vanity, toilet and tub/shower) are all enclosed in a separate room.
The receptionist was sloppy, very slow and considering the very high price (3 times over what the door notice said) little friendlieness shown, not even a newspaper, had to park on the road as no parking space available Pool room very hot, water was fine. Breakfast was a joke, sluggish, tasteless doughnut-that was all was offered! Would not recommend this poorly serviced badly in need of much better management. This has been said by previous guests unfortunately we didn't listen. For extra money we could see the water.
1. The room was old and tired 2. T.V. remote did not work , myself and the young very helpful desk clerk could not fix it . 3. Wi-fi did not work . 4. Beds were uncomfortable . 5.No access to the beach and you are right on the beach . 6.The cribbing for the shore line is old and rotted the wiring for the outdoor lighting on the cribbing is exposed to the weather and high tides . 7. I witnessed someone who seemed to be a manager blame a client at the desk for Wi - Fi Failure . 8 I feel I paid rates 5 star rate for a 2 star motel .
